    Thanks for the update. There is still a crash that is similar to the one in 1.1.3 where if your choose to go up a level on Online Media, WiiMC crashes and gets a code dump.

    The only way to move up without crashing is pressing the B button to help navigate.

    I can’t reproduce this, and without a proper bug report (ie: with a screenshot) I can’t debug it either.

    Hi,

    I have attached the error i am getting 10 seconds after opening WiiMC. Please note that i am not doing anything after opening the program. Here is the screenshot that appears form me in 1.1.3 and 1.1.4 :

    The only working version is 1.1.2 and my IOS is 61.

    @simistef
    ughh, no stack dump info, so imposible to debug.
    do you have a usb device attached?
    do you have network settings configured properly?
    are you launching from channel or HBC ?
    have you wait to get network synced in HBC before launch wiimc?

  6. Tantric
    March 5th, 2011 at 02:40 | #6

    @simistef
    That error is almost certainly either from an attached USB device, or not having net configured and launching from HBC.

    March 5th, 2011 at 02:57 | #7

    @rodries
    1. yes, i have attached an usb disk
    2. network settings are ok
    3. launching from HBC

    After detaching the USB device it worked fine. Unfortunately that is not a solution for me as i have the need for adaptors. So i guess i will go back to the old good 1.1.2

    @simistef
    I had the same problem with an older version. (Don’t know if the bug still exists.)

    The solution is that you need to remove the restore_points file. When done, you shouldn’t have any problems no more.

    Thanks for the info Tantric. Your newest 1.1.4 package might have fixed the problem.

    A quick question since I haven’t read up on the new changes: After about 5 minutes or so of inactivity, my system just reboots. I thought it was due to the Inactivity Shutdown setting, but that is set to 2 hours.

    Is there something possibly going on with the screen saver setting? Again, this is the first time happening so I’m assuming it’s something new with this update that I may have to change or disable.

    @jservs7
    Looks like I set the Inactivity Shutdown to 2 minutes instead of 2 hours 🙁

    The good news is you can turn off this feature.

    @Tantric: Did you change something on the Update Routine in 1.1.3? I have to manually download the 1.1.4 Update.

    Hi and thank you for your new release.

    Still sometimes I have problems to view a video, I begin see it and in the middle suddenly crashed. In the 1.1.3 version almost every time but now only sometimes (mp4 files)

    I would like back the option of 5 seconds to backward/forward skip as i use it primarily to skip back when I didn’t quite hear what someone said or forward skipping opening credits. 10 seconds is too long especially for just hearing one sentence. Not a big problem but I would appreciate it. Can you also make the program wait longer for initializing the usb hdd as my old one takes more time to spin up. I can get pass that by plugging it in at the Wii menu, but it would work as well if you just gave it a little more time. Thanks for great program.

    Good evening. I must say that this is an absolutely wonderful program! My Wii is quite messed up. It only loads homebrew. Channels black screen on me. However, the Homebrew Channel works fine, and thanks to WiiMC I’m able to watch YouTube videos on my Wii! I love this program. You’ve really done some fine work on it!

    I’ve had a couple problem though. I don’t know if it’s operator error, or a glitch or bug. You see, I had plugged in my PSP memory stick to listen to music earlier today, and tried to set a directory full of 100 + Songs as a playlist. I was in the music tab while doing this. WiiMC crashed when I hit the play button. Also the Checkmark icon never showed on the folder I tried to add as playlist. Is there something I am doing wrong here? Figuring it was my own mistake, I tried setting entire music directory a playlist, then skipped to the songs I wanted to hear. About 1 and a half songs would play and then WiiMC would crash and reset back to the Homebrew Channel. I didn’t get any debug screen, just a clean reset back to HBC. Is this normal? Is it a known bug? Or am I doing something dreadfully wrong? Memory overload? Please help. Thanks.

    Sort of similar to the music problem right? That’s about the time length before the program crashed on me.

    @Labatryth Lyndynhyra
    I would suggest rehacking your wii using Modmii. Use the wizard option. Uninstall your channels and programs and do a clean install on them.

  33. March 9th, 2011 at 07:23 | #33

    @Bran

    Um, right. About that. I kinda upgraded to 4.3u.

  34. Bran
    March 9th, 2011 at 07:38 | #34

    @Labatryth Lyndynhyra
    As you can still get to the homebrew channel you won’t even need the game exploits. As this is WiiMC version discussion I won’t go in to details, but check this out and the 4.3u section. http://gbatemp.net/t207126-modmii-for-windows ask further instructions there if you need to.

    Hi,
    since I’ve updated to the new version, I have a strange problem.
    Suddenly, if I hear MP3-files, WIIMC shuts down and restart my WII (goes back to the WII menu). I have set the inactivity to “off”.
    With the older version 1.1.3, I havent this problem.

    I use FW 4.2E with updated IOS etc.
    I start WIIMC always via channel.

    thx.

    Yes, turn off Inactivity Shutdown. It’s broken.

    March 9th, 2011 at 11:03 | #38

    @Labatryth Lyndynhyra
    You can still do it as you can use homebrew. If you don’t have a nand backup then search Modmii for Windows and you will find your answer for 4.3u and get the Wii back in shape.

    I want to give a huge thanks to Tantric. I had a very annoying bug starting with 1.13. I submitted a bug and it was fixed within a day or two. I’ve got 1.14 now and everything is working great! Thank you!

    Hi,

    Since last update, WiiMC shutdown after 5min music played .. in the middle of a song, without any reason.
    I play my music from a samba place, but that work fine until that update.

    Hope that will help you.

    The same thing happen to me last night when I was just leastening some music from my stream disk and then after 10 minutes the WiiMC crashed. Today I’ll reinstall last version, I know that you tube doesn’t work with 1.1.3 but I prefer access without any problems to my music and videos.@jeremy

    i swear its a screensaver issue.

    whenever screensaver comes on while listenign to music reboots.

    try to load from HBC LSI error.\

    Ever since last update.

    I changed screensaver to 60 minutes and it seems stable for past 15 minutes which is much longer then before.

    Simply writing to thank you for all the hard work you’ve put into this program. Just discovered the SMB feature for the first time, and it works beautifully. The ability to simply stream all my music/films from my iMac onto the livingroom tv has stopped endless trips up and down stairs brandishing an SD card, and works flawlessly every time for me. If possible, it would be great to see a way of browsing music folders more similar to that of a library such as iTunes/Winamp, rather than the current folder hierarchy – but that’s utterly trivial considering how fantastic this already is. Seriously, you’ve crafted something beautiful AND functional – and as a pretentious mac fanboy, I can’t thank you enough!

    March 11th, 2011 at 17:10 | #47

    Hi, aside from the screen saver issue that I encounter too, there is another one. From time to time all my SMB setting, preferences and checks for already played videos are lost so I have to make them all over again. :/

  48. March 11th, 2011 at 22:17 | #48

    @Bran

    Does this mean my channels and disc games will load again?

  49. March 11th, 2011 at 22:26 | #49

    Thanks man. Yeah I won’t spam this topic with unwanted stuff. Thanks again.

    This is a very nice program. I’ve been using it for the first time and i would say I am really impressed. Unfortunately some of the video files does not work for me (ex: xvid, hd, mkv)
