    in settings – after you specify a music folder – then, select music media – pick a song and it says “error opening file” – but, if you do not specify a music folder in settings, and just browse from the root of the device to the music folder, the music files play fine – a bug?

    Yes, a bug. You didn’t add a trailing slash on the folder. I’ll have it do this for you in the future.
