Have you enabled the subtitles in the settings?
After that, have you tried to press the UP button when watching the movie?
Have you checked that the .srt files really are srt files?
Try open them in Subtitle Workshop and see if they open, if they do, try save them and see if anything changes
singed up for specific help with this, im a US user of wii mc and none of my videos with subs work.
all of the videos are .avi with .srt sub files i can play them with vlc media player and the subs show up fine
but they dont work with the wii mc, i have in the options subs on and whether i press up on the wiimote or not the subs dont show up no matter how long i wait. i also opened them up in sub workshop and saved them and they continue to not show up in the player, so what is the deal? also does the firmware matter? and what about cios would they affect how the player loads subs?
wad version 1.0.4
no subtitle appeared in both usb and dvd files
same name, srt and .sub tested
enabled, made it huge, press up and any possible combination of B+^, 1+^ and stuffs like that …. nothing
