Channel Installer Fails

    The latest version of the Channel Installer fails to install.

    It outputs “Error Channel installation failed!”. The bottom left of the screen reads “Running IOS: 36”

    There seems to be no way of selecting the IOS used for the install. Is there a different version of the installer or can you provide it as a wad?

    geegee: I was just wondering if WIIMC could be added to the WII Menu when I saw your post.

    Unfortunately, apart from the notice that a Channel Installer is available, there is no other reference or instructions on how to do this within the WIIMC forum.

    As someone who has obviously done this, how about posting for other users how to go about installing this, or at least post some links on where they can find relevant info. I41 would appreciate it. Thanks.

    Just download the Channel Installer from the download page and run it from your SD card like any other hombrew app. It will then install a WiiMC channel to the system menu.

    However mine refused to install…

    Thanks, that sounds easy…and no IOS’s to install as pre-reqs?

    Just installed it. Went smooth and it works perfect. Mine said running ios 222. Don’t know how you can change that though. I can ask a buddy of mine later who knows more about this stuff than I do. But hopefully you get an answer from someone here soon, no telling when I will see this guy online again. Just so you know, using latest version of WiiMC and installer. Good luck.

    I solved my problem. My IOS36 was out of date.
