Riiiight, well assuming you will not be re-encoding the video you are ripping you will be looking at extremely large files for just a movie. Now if you were thinking to encode it to divx or what not then you might want to calculate the amount of time it would take to do such an action on a single core sub 1Ghz processor.

The only way this would be usefull is if you just had an ungodly amount of HD space that you just wanted to use. Even in my case with an external 750GB drive for just media it is tight!
