    Sharing my experience.

    Had problems streaming video files over wi-fi.

    Bought a cheap USB LAN ADAPTER ($12 from Hong Kong inc shipping). Now all media is streaming perfectly to Wii using WiiMC 1.0.9.

    That’s what I did too. You’ll also be pleasantly surprised to see that USB LAN performance has been improved for the next version. 😀

    Is the wii able to do 10/100 or just 10? I guess more so this would be a matter of the USB ports supporting USB2.0 but as far as I know we only are able to get one or the other running at 2.0 and I use a HD on that one.

    Any change WiiMC will allow Dual 2.0 USB Channels or is this just a cracked pipe dream of mine.

    With IOS58 both ports are USB2, and that seems to make a difference for the USB LAN adapter as I hinted at above. The only thing you can’t do is use two usb HD’s at the same time. Only one will show up. This isn’t changing any time soon.

    Do I dare ask when a new version will become available…like the sound of improved USB Lan..
