    I am new to RTMP and am trying to learn how to use it. Can someone tell me in what scenarios I would choose “add a new link” versus “add a new RTMP stream” in the online library?

    When the protocol is rtmp or rtmpe you need rtmpdump…. otherwise use the normal “add a new link”.
