Running 1.1.8 I lost my ability to display subtitles.
Reverting to 1.1.7 fixes the problem.

    Sub/File type
    DVD -> MKV
    Created via MakeMKV

    Originally happened when I updated.
Backed up then wiped that out and did a new install, problem repeated.
Wiped that out and reverted to 1.1.7, subs reappeared.

Under 1.1.8 No error messages display in sub settings or during playback when attempting to switch on subs.

After a quick backup I tried it and that one handled my subtitles currectly.

I didn’t play with it for too long though I did get nailed with a really hard crash on it when I misclicked “data dvd” under videos on accident, wasn’t able to repeat the crash again later though.

    ANYWAY, thanks

This beta works for me. I have the same issue with 1.1.8 but this beta fixed it. However, if you pause the video for a while it hang the Wii. No error code is reported, only screen garbage.

It would be nice a visual feedback about language and subtitle selection.

30 seconds approx. I received a phone call (wrong number) and I paused the video. I was using DVD.

Hi mates, I started using wiimc 1.1.7 but never try subtitles on the video cause Iam a new and happy user of wiimc and just play music videos on my wii, but then i see the new version released 1.1.8 and go to update.

yesterday I had copy a full movie in avi/divx with it srt file on my usb hdd and when playback the movie on wiimc and go to subtitles menu apperas an error taht said taht no subtitles file found I suposed taht wiimc read and special format of subtitles but today a see this post so i guess if i go to wiimc 1.1.7 i will see the subtitles in srt format right?, or can i test your suggestion for the same mate that posted the issue??? http://www.mediafire.com/?9b11joxmidw19qr in my case

Hi T0rres mate yes i figure it that, i have very estranged mi video avi file divx and it srt file has the same name but
in these particular format something.something.xxx.yyy.2007.srt so i tray to rename both in a short simple way for example something.srt i guess that wiimc found the . and something happend but with the current version 1.1.8 form official download link this not work too, so this version ahs 2 bugs for me
1.-not start from hbc if i have app folder in my usb hdd fat32 partition and no sd inserted “message not found a valid sd or usb parition” or something like tahat i cant remenber the exact message.

    2.- no srt is showhed

but with the release that rodries post the link these bugs dissapperar i can now load the wiimc with no sd inserted and from my hdd via hbc and now the srt subtitles load fine, the only issue is i dont know how to set in the settings to able wiimc to showw my spanish characters well for example ñ shows wrong appear other charatec and so on with especial characters in spanish srt files á é í ó ú theese kind of character is sowhed in a wrong way but i can live with taht by the moment any suggestions??

anyway i am happy with this not official release that fix my 2 rare issues.

    PD:
is there a way to install the wiichannel forwader without HBC runnig over ios 61, cause my hbc with ios 58 get inestable DSI erros many times._

i try to load de dol wii cahnnel from wiiexplorer but in this escenario AHBPROT messager error says in not enable.

can i instal the channel in another way, i have ios 58 on my wii offline setup via nus and wadmanger
