    Hi,

    A lot of usb hard drives DO work with WiiMC. Look a little deeper in what the program does and you will find that WiiMC does a pretty good job of allowing you to play videos right on your usb hard drive.

    1TB, usb 2.0 drives are the most preferred. If you have a modded Wii, you probably already have a usb hard drive hooked up to it. Use that drive.

    USB works pretty well for a lot of people, but SMB is the most supported method – particularly with USB ethernet.
