Hi.
First of all, I love WIIMC. So, thank you very much for your work.
I. Issue:
Like many other people I would love to have cover art shown up for my movie files.
I already have made covers for each movie, named exactly like the movie itself but “.jpg” as extension. (Example: “Movie.avi” > “Movie.jpg”) That’s the way the WDTV handles those cover art.
Now, I was thinking of using the Online Media section. Cause when I’m browsing for example through the navi-x stuff there are showing thumbnails on the right side of the screen. So, I tried to write a .plx file for my movies manually by my own, and put it into the folder of my usb drive.
Usually the onlinemedia.xml got entries to access to the web, for example “http://www.wiimc.org/media/youtube.php”, but what do I have to enter to get to my local usb drive? “usb1:/video/list.plx” doesn’t work, I’ve already tried.
II. Issue:
As WiiMC uses MPlayer for playing movie files, it would be very cool if you could also choose the “stereo3d” video filter provided by MPlayer which displays a sbs (side-by-side) movie as an anaglyph (red-cyan) movie. If I encode such a sbs movie with MEncoder to have an anaglyph one it takes more than a day because of the encoding itself (and my computer isn’t the newest one). But MPlayer can use this videofilter on the fly at playing a movie. So, wouldn’t it be great, if the user could just choose a “3D” option so that MPlayer will be told to use the video filter “stereo3d=sbsl:arcc” or “stereo3d=sbsl:arcd”?
WiiMC would have a 3D feature! 😯 …and you can use cheap anaglyph (red/cyan) glasses to watch it on every TV… This would be so cool!
