I have a Pogoplug with a couple of drives connected and shared with SMB using optware. I’ve been able to successfully connect to them from my mac, PC, and XBMC machines and I’d like to connect from WiiMC as well.
When I put in the settings for the IP and Login/Pass I always get a connection error. When I put in settings for my Mac SMB shares, WiiMC connects right away.
I’m not sure what I’m missing here, or if I need to make changes in my smb.conf file on the Pogoplug, but I’d really like to get that connection working if at all possible. Thanks for any tips or advice.
Here are the settings in the smb.conf file currently.

October 20, 2012 at 4:18 am #30518dramikoParticipantSo I found this bit of information from Tantric elsewhere in the forum. It looks like it may be what I need, but I not sure how to write it into the config file.
SAMBA + WiiMC will work, but AD (or domains!) aren’t supported. Here’s what is:
NTLM v1 authentication over port 445 (ie: no NETBIOS)
Anyone know how?
