I found it can’t distinguish file with a complicated name like “?????????????.Open.Yale.course?Financial.Markets.11.Chi_Eng.640X360-YYeTs??????.rmvb”. Strongly wish it will support more character encoding.

Okay so I used Modmii to hack my Wii back to 4.1u. WiiMC still crashes, and disc games and official channels blackout. I’m so frustrated. 🙁

    @joat
It does, but you have to change the app language appropriately in the settings. The problem is not the application not supporting it, it’s the font the app uses. When you change languages (eg: to Simplified Chinese) it will use a font that has the symbols of that language.

Did you do a complete resoftmod using the wizard and updating all the ios and cios if you have them? I can’t just know what is wrong with only this information and this could fill the thread. Like I said you should go ask more at gbatemp. Of course if you would have a nand backup you would have already used it? I just thought it would be an easy fix by completely writing over what you have done before, but go ask the experts there. But don’t lose hope, it sounds fixable.

    Sorry WiiMC for off-topic 🙂

And update the official channels also and remove the old custom ones if you have them. First try the full wizard softmod and if that doesn’t work or you did it already post a syscheck in gbatemp. Hope you get the Wii back on track, see you at gbatemp.

    hey, guys,

I really need some help and I am not sure who to ask. First, let me say that I have really enjoyed using WiiMC and have been using it and the SMB Share feature for a few months right now. I love it!

Sadly, i went to watch a movie today via stream through the SMB Share feature like I normally do and it’s not working at all. None of my settings have changed, I’ve done nothing differently, and now it’s not working! Ugh! This is so frustrating!

    I get the following error:

“Failed to connect to network share.”

I even tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app but it’s still not working.

I would really appreciate any help that would lead to this issue getting resolved. I hope to be able to enjoy WiiMC and all that it has to offer again very soon. feel free to email me:

    [email protected]

Thanks guys for all your help

    Best Regards,

    bigredcape

hi, just want to say thanks first for this awsome app. the problem im having is since the update when i use shoutcast radio the streams play for like 2-3mins then it cuts off and does a soft reset to system menu or hbc depending on where i launched wiimc. the wii is softmodded running darkcorp. i even removed darkcorp to make sure that it wasnt darkcorp. i have backups of my wii system with diff menu versions and the result is the same.

When you try to play a song that is not on the current playlist, at the end of the song it will skip the first song in your playlist and go right to the second.

ok, seems the problem is the screen saver , i had to change the delay to 1min. any longer and it resets the wii.

So i downloaded 1.1.4 and replaced the wiimc folder with the apps folder. Its still giving me the “ERROR” “ERROR LOADING FILE” and “Your search did not match any media files”

I want you tube working again so bad. I dont understand why this is still not working for me. Do i need to edit anything like the online folder in the wiimc settings??? And if so what?? Im using an Sd card if it helps.

Any Help will be greatly appreciated!!!!!!!!!!!!

SHOUTcast TV now says: Error – Error loading File!
SHOUTcast Radio now says: Error – Error loading File!
As well as YouTube. So it’s not just a YouTube issue.
    Any fix?
