Thanks a lot for your work ! WiiMC is fabulous 🙂
GREAT!!!
Thank you very much (^.^)
Saludos.
Ups ¡¡
I’m sorry for the spanish comment ¡
After a fresh install everything is working REALLY fine, even youtube chanel. So I recommend everybd to delete \app\wiimc directory and to make a fresh install again so as to everything works as it should.
Thank you for your work. We appreciate it a lot, congratulations ¡¡
Bye.
muchas gracias !!!!!!
lotux debes borrar el archivo wiimc de apps, descarga el de esta pagina y volver a copiarlo en la carpeta apps. salu2
Thank you very much for all of your hard work on WiiMC. I enjoy it very much.
WiiMC sure beats the internet channel for internet media. I like how nice WiiMC looks. Definitely the most well designed wii homebrew.
Thanks for the update. 😀 It’s nice to use YouTube again and have it more stable with videos…
Can I update through internet connection on my Wii?
Niceeeeee. The YouTube stability was the only prob I had, now it’s fixed. WiiMC is awesome 🙂
Grasiass de verdad ps cuando actualizaron youtube algunos videos no me servian en youtube pero con esta nueva actualizacion del fabuloso WIIMC ahora no me a vuelto a pasar haste el momento, mil gracias y gracias y k sigan como van 😛
Thank you so much for the youtube fix!
Great, thanks. Especially for the thumbnails. WiiMC was the one reason, why I hacked my Wii.
thanks for your hard work
ayuda! descargue el channel instaler y no reconoce mi disco duro! alguien me puede aconsejar?
I love this program i use to share video with my imac and its perfectly. Thanks
And still the new versions crash randomly, but most often, when I justet started WiiMC and run immediately an XviD-File (the file is 100% valid and every other video player accepts this file totally – even WiiMC 1.1.4 does).
@Jense
No-one claimed it was perfect! 😉
Thanks!
Hopefully annoying crashes with .srt subtitles are history now
@Tantric: No, I just wanted to give feedback. I’m fine with 1.1.4 and I’m gratefull for all your work. 🙂
Hello,
Thankyou again!!!. Now Youtube works but for me only in medium quality.
Great job!
I had this working on Network Share — no problems. BUT, I just updated to 1.2.2 and now network share does not work–says it can’t connect to network. I didn’t change anything–just updated. Grrr…any thoughts/suggestions?
Thanks
Thank you, haven’t seen an update for a while!
I’d love to see thumbnails available on our own files on SD/usb whatever. My bf has a media player that uses a jpg as a thumbnail as it has the same file name as the video, much like a subtitle file. That would be a good fit for WiiMC I think – just a suggestion, keep up the good work 🙂
Great work guys, I really use this a lot. Keep up the good work!
Has anyone else had to reconfigure their network share after the update? I updated in the app and when it restarted the Wii my network share was gone. Easily fixed just wondered if anyone else had the same issue.
Greetings WiiMC team. I mentioned a problem with Youtube in version 1.2.0 that has been persisting since 1.1.9 and still exists in the latest version: it only works in 360p “medium” (as confirmed by Yoko) mode, as well as 480p “high” quality mode (for me this mode works). In 240p (low) mode, I still get “error loading Youtube file”. I have tried a number of different clips, all of which work in modes other than 240p. Thumbnails work just fine no matter what mode is selected in settings. Still a big problem for people stuck on slow connections.
Thanks for the new release and fixing Youtube
Just a new issue to report, now the control bar at the bottom of the screen stays always visible, even when the wi mote switches itself off. Feel free to move this comment to a bug tracker if there is one available.
Great application anyway.
Absolutely amazing! WiiMC is the reason i got a Wii. Thanks to your amazing user friendly interface, my 64 year old parents even use your program to listen to the radio! Now that the Youtube feature works even better, i imagine they’ll be using the wii more often. Keep up the great work!
there no TIME CODE shown on screen on MP3 playback! jump to spots on playback really been a guessing game.
there only ONE PAGE of youtube links. that vertical line gets in why of text. low res setting allways error. it just sometimes i just listen to interviews and it waste og mb’s at medium res. not important There also no history of seach available on navi-x wii so i keep retyping same stuff.
That HBO intro why cant i shut it off.
The performance is excellent. Not a simple buffer issue on one video yet.
I have spent countless hours listing to mp3 postcard radio off usb. it very good. just the time thing…
Good morning guys;
Congratulations for your hard work, we all here appreciate it a lot. I use your application weekly to watch movies on the Wii.
Don’t know if it have already been reported, but videos with dual audio are not working properly. The transition between the audios doesn’t seems to be working in any pattern. Randomly it works to get the audio selected, but mostly it doesn’t.
May I suggest a better approach? If the video file have dual audio, at the beginning of the playback, it asks which audio layer the user wants to use. Would be nice if it worked like this.
Thanks in advance. Keep up the great work guys 😉
Me again. Audio Stream works flawlessly with the down button command. But selecting it from the settings doesn’t work right. Maybe file-related…
Well, that’s it guys. Thanks for the great media player!
I change media players every year (HDD Players) and this year wanted Netflix support but all the players are weak in this area. I came across wiimc and instead of buying a new HDD Player for the bedroom, bought another wii and share a NAS for both rooms…. problem solved better than I could have hoped for. MAN AM I IMPRESSED!
Now that I am using the product, I would love to see YAMJ capability as an option (or a thumbnail if jpg is in the same folder with same file name as video file – poor man’s version). If it had this, it would smoke even the best HDD Players hands down.
Much thanks
Cant thank you guys enough for the product!
Suggestion: Is it possible to visit a youtube channel where the videos chronologically ordered from newest to oldest.
Thank you and keep up the great work!
Never thought I would be switching out my PS3 for a Wii as a media center… I would be, but half my .mkv files result in a code dump with a restart. Is this a common thing with an easy fix/work-around? Other than that, it works very well. Thank you very much for the hard work that’s been put into this!
the scene are using MP4 instead of AVI but wiiMC seems to LAG with mp4 (maybe low FPS?) Dont know.
Anybody having the same problem?
“LOL (scene): This is our final xvid release. There is simply no valid reason to use the codec
anymore. Compatibility for 264 is currently more widespread than xvid/divx
was when vcd died. The quality of the resulting encodes is leaps and bounds
beyond what xvid is capable of. Of course there will be dinosaurs still trying
to rationalize the usage of an outdated format, and continuing to drag the scene
further and further down the evolutionary ladder. The scene used to lead, and
thanks to such individuals, it simply does not anymore. Time to step up and
begin repairing all the damage that has been done. As some friends like to
say, time to evolve, or time to die “
@Patrick
@Fernando
mkv/mp4 are supported, but the problem is the Wii doesn’t have the processing power to handle high resolutions (pretty much > 480p). Codecs such as h264 are processor-intensive, as such they have optimizations to use SSE2/altivec/etc – none of which we have. So basically I’d suggest using xvid or similar if you’re using WiiMC. If WiiMC were on different HW (eg: PS3/XBOX360/Wii-U) you wouldn’t see this problem.
I see. Since the firsts version of WiiMC I’ve always played .avi files.
My doubt is: if a release was .avi (350MB) and now are (.mp4, less then 350MB), does it need high processing power?
The change to mp4 by the scene wasnt supposed to reduce space and keep the same processing power needed?
Thanks
