ahbprot error message

    i recently installed the latest homebrew channel on wii system 4.3u following mauifrog’s softmod any wii guide from wiihacks.

    I am trying to get wiimc working so i can play dvds but i receive the ahbprot is not enabled message

    -2006 wii
    -mplayer ce doesnt work either
    -had to delete no ios reload from meta.xml to stop crash dump
    -latest wiimc version

    Any ideas what may be causing this error message?

    THAT.

    That disables AHBPROT and therefore your DVD access.

    The crash dump occurs when the network icon in HBC is still blinking when you load WiiMC.

    Probably your best bet would be to load from the WiiMC channel instead of HBC.

    Using the channel instead of launching from the homebrew channel fixed my problem.
