Pointless. These changes are a part of libogc, not an SVN. A compile can be from the same WiiMC SVN but different libogc or devkitPPC, so no two compiles are alike. The only versions we support are the posted releases – all others are just tests we produce to get feedback about specific issues we’re looking at.

This worked for me too. App was crashing when opening USB HDD. Good fix, and great software!

I don’t know if this can help.
I had the same problem of core dump and exception DSI with an HDD formatted with 2 primary partitions, one NTFS and the other WBFS. I set the NTFS partition as an active partition with Vista and now I don’t have core dump any more.

I cant run version 1.1.2 on my wii, it just comes up with a black screen saying error, reload in 8 seconds then i have to reset the wii. I have had to go back to 1.1.1 and this works fine.

The codedump was related to a bug in libogc, more bugs found, we will release a new wiimc to fix all this bugs

I experience code dumps when accessing the USB key if there are big ISO files that are not dvd images (actually they are wii games isos) and after a few seconds the code dumps were replaced by a frozen wiimc screen, kinda weird! 😯
Removing the ISO files from the usb key solved the issue.

I’ll try the beta then report if I still have problems

Where does the file go? im sorry, im new to this. just got a 1tb hard drive from western digital and everytime i try to read my music, i get a codedump error, this does not happen in mplayer CE.

P.S I found out! Thank you for this amazing program fellas, keep up the work. Although it froze the first time i tried, if it freezes again, i’ll let you know.

Again, many thanks to you guys.

I tried the beta but the code dumps still remain. I have to remove the ISO even if it is in another folder.

    Hi there!

I’m trying to use WiiMC without success…
Everytime it starts properly, I can see and navigate a bit into my usb or SD device, and before I can select (or while selecting) a video file, DSI+Codedump appears and freeze…

I’ve tried WiiMC 1.1.1 and 1.1.2, and it’s the same, I haven’t been able to play any media, the drives are mounted and I can navigate a little before the crash though.
I’ve tried a 4Go Usb key, a 1To HDD with 2 partitions on it (fat32 (250Go)+ ntfs (700Go), both are seen and can be developped).
I can use the usb key and the HDD to read backups without any problem with usb loaders.
The DSI happens aswell when no usb drive is plugged and I’m only trying to play a video from the sd card.

All king of codecs/videos were tested, I’ve aswell tested WiiMC installed on SD or on HDD, same problem.

    Hi all.
I just would like to thank the devs here @WiiMC for this super program!

    Now for my issue…

Part 1: I can play DVDs fine. A little slower than a regular player but no big deal.
Part 2: I can’t play anything on my USB external drive. (Hitachi 1GB $55.00 special @Newegg and a Rosewill enclosure)

I get a DSI exception with a page of memory dumps and the ‘8 second reboot’. I have HBC installed, running cIOS58, have tried through the WiiMC channel and through HBC. It’s installed on the SD card.

The odd (or not so odd) thing is that I have also installed MPlayer CE. With that, I have the opposite problem–I can play from the USB drive (my MP4 files), but DVDs crash the Wii…

I do plan on running the USB test later and posting results.
