Channel Question

Every time there’s a new WiiMC release, a new channel is released along with it. Does the channel need to be updated/reinstalled every time a new version of WiiMC comes out? The channel is a forwarder, so I don’t see why it should. How come it gets updated with every new release then?

It’s because there’s been changes to the USB code in libogc. These changes make more USB devices work, so I release a new forwarder with these new changes compiled in. If the channel already works for you, there’s no need to update. If the channel doesn’t, then it’s more likely that it will on the newer version.

I’m hoping the changes in libogc will stabilize soon so that I can stop releasing a new channel every time! 😉

Okay. That makes much more sense. 😀 I’m not using any USB devices at the moment so I’ll just stick with the channel I have installed. Thanks for the help!
