Here are two betas related to the freezing that happens in 1.2.3 only. Please test both and let me know if the 1.2.3 freezing issue is fixed in one, both, or neither:

Very sorry to say that 1.2.4 is still crashing intermittently when trying to play an AVI.

From what I can tell, this problem has not changed since 1.2.0. I’ve seen no improvment.

I stumbled upon the same solution that gvaiss found. If you play a file from the saved directory that comes up first, it will crash.

But I also found what seems to start the crashes for me: Having my HDD hooked up when starting WiiMC. Even if I unplug it, if it’s still in the same directory and I don’t change the shares, it will crash. I was hoping to try the betas, but the links are dead. I just updated to the newest version.

Funny you should mention time. The thing is, I just don’t have time to fix these things. I don’t think you’ll see any improvement.
