Does WiiMC know to use sectors bigger than 512 on USB Drives

This question relates to getting my 2.5tb usb hard drive formatted as ntfs to work on WiiMC.
Does WiiMC know to use big sectors? If not can this please be fixed, so 1 of the first steps to getting these drives to work can be done.

My drive does work through SMB but it is a lot easier to get it working through the USB port on the Wii.

Edit:
This problem has been solved by removing the need to mount ext2 partitions.
