Installed IOS 58 wad and HBC 1.0.8. Everything there went well, HBC is using IOS58. I wanted to try out Wiimc and having some problems. Internet access is not enabled because this is for little kids, they don’t need it. Downloaded Wiimc Channel Installer 1.5 and went to install in HBC. Once loaded I get a message asking if I want to install the channel, select install and I get exception dsi error. I then try to load wiimc directly in HBC and loads fine but once the cursor hand hovers over the globe icon(online media?) I get the exception dsi error.
I don’t want to enable internet access, anyway to fix this?

    Found 102 titles.
Found 39 IOS on this console. 10 of them are stub.

This is a bug in HBC caused by it trying to initialize the network even though you don’t have one! In the meantime, you’ll have to load from the channel to avoid the crash. How to install the channel then, you ask?

Load HBC, and then wait there for awhile (10 minutes perhaps?) By this time it will have stopped looking for the network. You can then load the channel installer successfully (or WiiMC for that matter) without the crash.

It worked! Waited for exactly 10min and ran the installer. When the channel finished installing I was going to select ok but once the cursor hovered over the ok button the wii froze…. forced a shutdown and the channel is there and its working fine now.
I have another question. Is it possible to lock a directory so someone can’t go up/down levels?
