hi folks-
i’ve been ripping my dvds using a program called “Ripit” on the Mac, it creates a directory named, e.g. Movie.dvdmedia with (only) a VIDEO_TS folder inside. DVD Player on the Mac opens this like a normal DVD with menus & etc. the directory looks exactly like the DVD, for example:
/movies/MOVIE.dvdmedia/VIDEO_TS$ ls
-rwxr--r-- 18432 2011-05-04 21:18 VIDEO_TS.BUP
-rwxr--r-- 18432 2011-05-04 21:18 VIDEO_TS.IFO
-rwxr--r-- 2114584 2011-05-04 21:09 VIDEO_TS.VOB
-rwxr--r-- 18412 2011-05-04 21:18 VTS_01_0.BUP
-rwxr--r-- 18412 2011-05-04 21:18 VTS_01_0.IFO
-rwxr--r-- 20262260 2011-05-04 20:47 VTS_01_0.VOB
-rwxr--r-- 116736 2011-05-04 21:18 VTS_01_1.VOB
-rwxr--r-- 22328 2011-05-04 21:18 VTS_02_0.BUP
-rwxr--r-- 22328 2011-05-04 21:18 VTS_02_0.IFO
-rwxr--r-- 94208 2011-05-04 20:47 VTS_02_0.VOB
-rwxr--r-- 371016376 2011-05-04 21:15 VTS_02_1.VOB
in WiiMC, if you navigate to the individual files, it will play them. i was wondering if, when selecting a directory ending in .dvdmedia, it could somehow instead open this in the DVD player (i.e. show the native DVD Menu)
thanks!
