Encoding Methods?

I need someone who has had success encoding and playing those videos lag-free and without any problems on WiiMC.
I’ve tried converting a few 720p mp4’s and even some 480p mkv’s and it seems like no matter what I do it does not help. I’ve tried using format factory to convert them to xvid and divx avi or mp4 files and they just keep buffering instead of playing. What the heck am I doing wrong and what can I do to correct my problem?

You have to check, that your Encoder is set to let the processed video not to have a higher resolution as
720×400
pixel.

Especially the 400 is important. If it is 404 pixel you will have problems.

No, it shouldn’t. I’ve got a Bluray rip in xvid 960×720, it plays perfectly.

Also I would not use MP3 for the audio and stick with what was originally in the source unless it requires encoding, in that case I would use AAC.
