is there an idiots guide to streaming from a mac

at the minute i unplug my hard drive from the wii, plug into the mac, copy across. some times it would be brilliant to be able to stream from my mac using wifi. I am pretty computer literate but know nothing about smb sharing or whatever it is. also i keep my music on my mac, can i stream that too?

I can give you a hand with that, but I need the specs on your setup, i.e., what OS version, what connection type (ethernet/WiFi) and what kind of admin access?

And, you’re no idiot, you use a Mac… 😉
