does anyone knows why this link works with windows mediaplayer but not with wiimc and vlc player mms://193.218.160.20/buzzasia

It also works with WinAMP, but I can confirm that it does not work with any WIIMC version. Note that with 1.1.3 WIIMC mms playback seems to have broken, and I have reported this as a bug.

other mms streams do work without a problem,its only this one, i used URL snooper on a website tht streams this radio station aswell and their link was rtsp://193.218.160.20/buzzasia maybe that has something to do with it? rtsp link didnt work either,not even on vlc

Would you post a few of your mms links that do still work with 1.1.4 so I can test them.? I posted the links that no longer work for me in bug report 349. Perhaps you would test them too. http://www.wiimc.org/tracker/index.php?do=details&task_id=349

rtsp links are not supported by WIIMC.

and if i use this link rtsp://193.218.160.20/buzzasia on old vlc 0.8.6 it works,why is rtsp not suported by wiimc?it should be.

On both 1.1.2 and 1.1.4 as downloaded from WIIMC site all of these links gave “error loading file” messages just like the mms links do on 1.1.4. The mms links work however on 1.1.2.

So how did you load them in WIIMC? I used the following entries in onlinemedia.xml…what did you do to make them work?

I’d like to resolve why this is and update my Guide to OnlineMedia to reflect the results. Thanks for your help on it.

i just tried your links in onlinemedia.xml and they give an error like you said but if you make 3 separate m3u files(paste links in txt file and then change extention to m3u) then it works but only if you use http not mms, i just load the m3u file from the video section.

i got your links working on onlinemedia.xml as http and mms but as mms it takes 5 minutes for the stream to load,as http it takes few seconds.i used the links like this http://stream.polskieradio.pl:80/program3?MSWMExt=.asf http://wms-trn-all.streaming.net.nz:80/trn-newstalk-zb-akl?MSWMExt=.asf http://online.3radio.cl:80/paulalounge?MSWMExt=.asf

There are more bugs here but I need to do more analysis before I submit them.
