Newbie with an adding channel problem (ios61)

I’ve just added the HBC to my sons Wii with no issues and I am able to run the Wiimc via an SD card, however when I have tried to install the WiiMC Channel Installer directly I get an error saying I need to be using ios58.
I have ios61 installed, so what do I need to do either to change the ios down to 58 or should I be able to get it working with 61?

I used hbc 1.0.8, new to homebrew on the wii so maybe I’ve made a mistake somewhere.

If your HBC runs on IOS61 you schould do the following:
– run the IOS58 installer.
– rerun the bootmii installer to install HBC for IOS58.
– check if HBC is running on IOS58 (HBC=> Home Button on Wii-mote => Upper right hand corner).
– rerun WiiMC Channel Installer.

it says it dont have ios 58 eventhough i instslled it!

you need to re-install HBC after you installed IOS58. (for HBC to recognize IOS58)

If you don’t want to go through the trouble of installing IOS58 or reinstalling the HBC then you can download and install this WAD file.
