    Hi@all,

First of all I don’t have that much of experience with using WiiMC so the solution to my problem might be kinda obvious to one or another. So what I’m trying to do is play back movie trailers (preferably from Apple Trailers, but any other source might do it as well) with WiiMC.

What I’ve done so far is adding one line in my onlinemedia.xml file:

So this playlists links to different other plx-files that link to mov-files.
From what I’ve read WiiMC is capable of playing mov-files (probably up to 480p), isn’t it?
But the error message is that the playlist doesn’t contain any supported file format.

I’m thankful for any help on this topic!

No, these NAVI playlists link to xml files which contain the links to movie files, and require a processor. WIIMC does not support processors so these NAVI links cannot be processed by WIIMC. My attempts to link to the movie files directly are intercepted by itunes and attempts to access those files fail. You can read more in the NAVI sticky.

thank you very much for the reply .

So is there any other way of playing the latest movie trailers online?

    1. On your PC using the player provided by apple.

2, Download the trailer to your pc and then play it with WIIMC.

    3. Play around and find the link and add it to onlinemedia.xml I used StreamTransport and got the following 2 URL’s from the apple site and movies.com

    <link name="Born to Be Wild" addr=" http://trailers.apple.com/movies/wb/borntobewild/borntobewild-tlr1_h640w.mov

Be aware that many of these trailers are HD files that may be beyond the ability of the WII to play such as the 1080p above.
