I’m new here. First, a big thank you to the guys who wrote this software – Well done. It’s bought a new life to my Wii sitting ignored under the telly gathering dust.
My Wii is one of the newer ones, so the disk drive in it will not play normal DVD’s and CD’s. No great problem because I’ve got a player from them anyway. What I’d like to do with WiiMC is use it with a large attached disk drive as a DVD jukebox so that the kids do not have to handle DVD’s and leave them with smudges and scratches and then complain they no longer work. The simplest way for me to do this would be to have a file structure on the big disk like RootDirectory/DVDName/Video_TS/AlltheDVDFiles. I can see and play the .IFO,.VOB etc files induvidually with WiiMC – Is there any way that I can get these to play in WiiMC as a DVD? – I’m guessing this shopld be possible given that it can play DVD’s off the internal DVD drive if it is capable of doing so.
