I updated HBC from IOS38 to IOS58 (v6176) base to get USB2.0 support to WiiMC. After this update procedure WiiMC is constantly freezing or giving code dump page after short period of use. Code dump page does not reload to HBC and I must to reboot Wii with power button.

Nothing else has changed. HBC is still 1.08 as before, only now IOS58 base. My HD is WD Elements Desktop 500 Gb. System menu version is 3.4. Everything else than WiiMC player is still working perfectly. I tried WiiMC versions 1.0.9 – 1.1.2 with same results. Before with IOS38 base HBC WiiMC worked guite stable. It didn’t freeze and code dumps were really rare and when those took place code dump page always reloaded to HBC successfully.

Have you got any idea why this is happening. Would it be best solution for me to install IOS38 base HBC back?

Thank you really much for your hard work and this awesome software!

Is your Wii net enabled? If not, try removing from WiiMC’s meta.xml. There’s an HBC bug that can freeze up any app that uses it.

I have not Wii net enabled. I removed from WiiMC’s meta.xml as you advised and that seemed to be the problem as you said!

    Thank you very much!

I’m not sure if this is the right place, but I am having a similar issue with my Western Digital hard drive on WiiMC. It was working up until the latest (1.1.2) version of WiiMC.

It crashes when I select ‘USB Media’ from the menu. There is a bunch of code, but I can’t easily read it on my CRT TV. I re-installed both HBC and IOS58 and checked that HBC was using 58 too.

EDIT: I’ve now also found this thread

    so I’ll try that. Sorry.
