Occasionally when I watch a video, the remote locks up. The lights stay on when it should have gone to sleep a long time ago and the buttons, including power and home, do nothing. This problem persists even after the video is finished and it returns to the menu on its own. Nothing else seems to be effected, as the sound and video are fine. I have not noticed any pattern as to how/when this happens as far as specific codecs, specific files, etc. It might be able to play 12 videos without this happening, or it might happen three times in a row. I know it is not the files themselves because I can restart the wii and play the same file without recreating this problem (usually; sometimes it will happen repeatedly like i said earlier). Also, I am always able to watch the first 30-seconds or so scene, then skip ahead through the opening video, so I know it is not locked up from the start. Any ideas as to what could be causing this?
I am running WiiMC 1.0.4 on menu 3.2 and playing all kinds of files and codecs through SMB on Win 7.
