Samba shares not mounting?

I am unable to mount smb shares on WiiMC.

I am running Samba 2.0.10-1 on my Humax Foxsat-HDR FreeSat Box and Samba shares mount correctly on OS X 10.7.2, Windows XP SP3 and iOS using BuzzPlayer on the iPhone.

I am using a static IP on the Humax box, however any and all combinations of folder names & file paths will not work when entered into WiiMC’s network configuration page.

I can’t work out why all other OS’s on my network can mount the Samba share, but WiiMC is unable to see it after entering the correct settings.

I can play media from both the SD card & mounted USB media.

Any help with mounting a smb share would be much appreciated. Thanks.

– make sure you only put the name of the share in, don’t try to put the folder name/file path/etc
– you’ll probably need to change your SAMBA config: port 445 not 139, NTLMv1 support only

hi, i recently installed wiimc and have been trying to access my recording from my humax hdr foxt2. my linkstation works perfectly via ftp but trying to smb my humax is difficult. why cant the dev team include an update with auto search upnp devices. any help would be welcome thanks

current setup

humax hdr foxt2 on stock firmware

wii softmod 4.3 with wiimc
