Let me start off by saying I love WiiMC and have had little to no problems with it throughs its course. The one thing that drives me crazy though is the lack of ability to change how soon the screen saver comes on. I have a 50″ plasma and it tends to get some image retention when left on the same screen for too long. It always ends up going away but still. I’d like to have the option to set it to 2 or 5 or 10 minutes or whatever, it would be a good option to have. Then again, I dont know how difficult something like that is to incorporate. I’m sure other people would also like this as an option too. Just my two cents, thankyou.
January 29, 2011 at 9:19 pm #28363rodriesKeymasterRight now it’s set to 5 minutes.
I’ve added the ability to change that for the next version for you. 🙂
Note that it can’t be set below 1 minute.

January 30, 2011 at 1:21 pm #28365AnonymousInactiveCould you add an option to choose a blank black screen saver?
February 16, 2011 at 10:08 pm #28366maddinParticipantSimilar to this request, can you add an auto-shut off after X minutes of showing the screen saver? My roommates don’t turn off the wii after they are done using WiiMC so the screen saver just runs all night. It would be great if I could have WiiMC auto-turn off the wii after the screen saver has been running for 30 minutes.
Thanks,

February 17, 2011 at 7:34 pm #28369maddinParticipantMaybe I’m interpreting it wrong but I don’t think what I’m asking for is exactly the sleep timer.
Say I set the sleep timer to 30 minutes, that turns off the wii after 30 minutes, regardless of whether a show is currently being watched or not. Is that right?
What I’d like to be able to do is to add an option to turn the wii off after 30 minutes of idle activity, not just a set 30 minutes from when I turned on the timer. For example, say the screen saver has been running for at least 30 minutes, which would indicate that the wii is probably not being used, go ahead and turn it off.
Is that what the sleep timer already does?
Thanks,

February 17, 2011 at 11:45 pm #28370maddinParticipantYou’re right. It shouldn’t be directly tied to the Screen Saver being active then. It should be tied to the system actually being Idle.
Thanks,
