Hi everybody!
First of all I’d like to thank everyone who has worked on this wonderful project. It’s still a newborn but it’s almost perfect for me! Great job guys!!
I’m an intensive mediaplayer user at home, with movie and tv series for me and toons for children!
At the moment I use an Elgato eyehome that works very good but has 3 problems:
– it doesn’t read some formats, especially audio
– it forces me to use an Apple computer as a server (there’s a project about it but it doesn’t work perfectly yet)
– I have a lot of devices under my tv and if it’s possible to save one or two why not?
I’ve tested for a while MPlayer on my wii but I was not satisfied, now with WiiMC I’m really happy!!
At the beginning I had some problems fit come SMB shared folders: some folders where ok, some other crashed everything. After some tests I’ve realized that WiiMC maybe does not like too long filenames. I’ve shorted some of them in the not working folders and now everything works fine!!
There’s still something to improve in dvd playing, I’ll try to see if there’s something to fix with some ios.
