the feature I would like to see would it to be actually part of WiiMC, http://despotify.se/ has lots of information about opensource clients and development frameworks.

Totally agree with you. I hate streaming with PC’s as tend to switch off my PC when not in use.
It would be great to have this implemented in the way laid out by despotify. I see that XBMC has had it implemented so hope that it can be done with the wii.
