I was having trouble when i updated to 1.1.0 but i managed to sort it out and havent had trouble since, heres what i did:
- Download the ‘new install’ .zip for WiiMC 1.1.0 from the downloads page
- Delete the wiimc folder from your ‘apps’ folder on your sd card then extract the wiimc folder into ‘apps’ from the ‘new install’ .zip you just downloaded
- download the ios58 installer from here http://wiibrew.org/wiki/IOS58_Installer and install it (this is the ios for usb 2.0 support)
- download the latest hackmii installer (currently 0.8 http://bootmii.org/download/) and run it on your wii – it should use ios58. Uninstall then Install the homebrew channel
This sorted my issues with WiiMC, though i experienced an odd bug where my usb device wasn’t being listed when i swapped hard drives, and discovered that if i go to global options, click about the menus in there then return to the video menu WiiMC will try to save the global options, then display a message that it failed, then when i restarted it everything was fine! (this method worked on 2 wii’s I had this issue with!)
