Oh, sorry for that, I translated it to quickly because we have nice weather in germany and I wanted to enjoy the sun.
Now I have corrected the errors (there were some some umlauts wich I had to replace).
Now I hope everything is ok.
Is there any chance to show the umlauts correct in WiiMC? That would be nice. They will show up fine, provided you provide me a file with them in it.
Also people, please stop posting your translations directly into the forum. Upload them into a file somewhere, encoded as UTF-8. This is quickly becoming a mess!

OK, here is my translation file
I don’t know if the next release of WiiMC is able to show the umlauts so I have repaced all of them.
THIS release can show them fine. It’s not the GUI that can’t show these characters, it’s an issue with subtitles and SMB. There’s full UTF-8 support in the GUI itself so menu translations will work fine.

You must download the source code here, overwrite your it.lang, then you must compile with devkitpro.

Could anyone make a devkitppc tutorial step by step for people whose are working in the translations? I always get the same error message 😕
Thanks in advance.
April 21, 2010 at 5:27 am #24317axgarrParticipantPlease don’t compile and distribuite it, with another language!! Tantric and Rodries has the project administrators, and they only can decide to distribute any subversion..

Nobody wants to distribute it, just for personal use and to test the language files.
April 21, 2010 at 7:53 am #24319FimoParticipantActually I think it’s under GPL, meaning everyone is free to redistribute as long as you credit all the authors and give out the source. But they’re not gonna redistribute it anyway, they just want to know how to compile it to test their language files 😉
April 21, 2010 at 12:46 pm #24320Zer0_byt3ParticipantI agree with the idea of not distribuiting it but now there are no form to check what you are working with. With Mplayerce you check your work with menu.conf file, so you never need to compile the app, but things has changed.
So I beg to Tantric a Rodries or anyone a bit of their time for explain a bit more about the compiling proccess.
Thanks in advance.
April 22, 2010 at 2:19 am #24321kavidParticipantMy brazilian portuguese translation:
I will review the translation, but apparently is 100%.
Is there any way to test?April 22, 2010 at 2:54 am #24322sir WestParticipantNo one is going to help us to compile the program to test our translations??
April 22, 2010 at 3:08 am #24323rodriesKeymasterOk I’ve slotted in some of the translations into the app, see the SVN source. There’s a number of things that haven’t been translated, and a few issues with the translations themselves that will need to be resolved. For example, this is just way too long:
msgid “Auto-Resume”
msgstr “Ricomincia automaticamente da dove interrotto”April 22, 2010 at 4:18 am #24324sir WestParticipantIf you can compile to us a beta version to test the languages we can solve all of the bad translations…
please…????????
April 22, 2010 at 6:33 am #24325rentadoggParticipantHere’s an excel spreadsheet that should make creating and tracking translations a little easier:
http://wadder.freeforums.org/download/file.php?id=101
I’ve also included an additional 80 strings that weren’t in the Brazilian Portuguese translation file above.. I hope this is helpful.
