    I have been messing with this all day so far, and I have had no luck. I have apache and the software setup fine, but I can’t get it to allow views to /var/www/vlc-shares/public.
    I have added this code to default under sites availble, and it still doesn’t let me view it via my web browser:


    

    
Options Indexes FollowSymLinks MultiViews
    
AllowOverride All
    
Order allow,deny
    
allow from all

    I appreciate any help.

    Don’t mess around. Go back and follow the instructions precisely and use vlc 1.1. It works fine.
    Be sure to change the right lines in the config file.
