November 20, 2010 at 4:35 pm #26394zany130ParticipantDue to a problem inside pclzip library version used by vlc-shares and the lack of the db file inside the 0.5.1 beta 2 package, I have to release VLCShares 0.5.1 beta 3.
The changelog:*** 0.5.1 beta 3 (20/11/2010) ***
– PclZip version updated to the last one to fix extract problem in OS 64bit
– Small fix and code tweaksThe problems inside beta 2 are so big that an update from 0.5.1beta2 to 0.5.1beta3 isn’t possible. Everyone have to do a fresh manual installation. I’m sorry.

January 1, 2011 at 3:46 am #26403juancarettaParticipantI’m getting trouble during the installation process. I downloaded 0.5.2 and ran the installer, but when I go to http://localhost/vlc-shares/public, I get an error in firefox, chrome, and IE. It says,
Unable to Connect
Firefox can’t establish a connection to the server at localhost.January 1, 2011 at 6:01 pm #26404zany130Participantthere is no installer of 0.5.2. You have to use installer for 0.5 and update to 0.5.1 and 0.5.2
January 1, 2011 at 7:36 pm #26405juancarettaParticipantI just tried downloading 0.5 and updating to 0.5.1. I ran the installer for 0.5 then followed the instructions for updating (extracting into the public folder). Yet when I tried to connect to http://localhost/vlc-shares/public/update.php, I got the same error.
“Firefox can’t establish a connection to the server at localhost.”
