When I try to run the WiiMC channel, It loads but it does not detect my HDD.
When I run it through HBC, It loads, but the USB speeds are back at 1.1. Any ideas? 🙁

I’ve never installed any WiiMC -Channel, so I always run WiiMC through HBC (1.0.8), so I can’t give any comment on that Channel thing, but anyways:

My WD Elements 1,5TB _IS_ recognized and seems to be running with normal (USB2) speed – did dozens of tests, all is working great. I have no problem whatsoever with that drive (of course I do have IOS58 installed!). BUT before I ran the new WiiMC v1.0.7 I uninstalled IOS202 v1.0.

Then, for testing, I re-install the IOS202 v1.0 (also still have IOS58 installed), my drive suddenly is no longer found in WiiMC v1.0.7! When uninstalling IOS202 v1.0 again the drive is back working without any flaws!

Maybe this helps some people getting rid of theit “not found” issue or it helps Tantric in figuring out how implement a fix for that.

There is something up with the channel blocking wiimc from seeing the hdd. To test my theory I went and used the wiiexplorer channel to launch wiimc and everything works fine for wiimc but I cant get access to the hdd in wiiexplorer.
To get that to work I just renamed the app folders and launched everything from the system menu. I know thats a weird way to test things but hey it worked. So Tantric you might can look at how the wiiexplorer channel luanched the app and see if that helps with WiiMC

Also for the ones having problems with WiiMC 1.0.7 showing the hdd or slow speeds if you still have iso202 installed you can use dop-mii to uninstall it and that might help you too. I tested a few things out and everything else I had that used IOS202 seem to be running better.

Is that good for my first post?

for those of you only getting USB 1.1 support when loading threw HBC.

If you have installed IOS58 after the current HBC, you have to run the hackmii installer again and reinstall the HBC in order to run on IOS58. WiiMC seems to always use the IOS of HBC when loaded threw it.

Same problem here. Installed Homebrew Channel 1.0.8 (latest) and IOS58 as well as WiiMC Channel Installer 1.3 and WiiMC 1.0.7. No HDD detected via channel. Strange thing is, I still get no HDD through Homebrew Channel.

Played around a bit, uninstalled IOS202 and uninstalled the WiiMC channel and installed WiiMC Channel Installer 1.2 (older version). Unplugged and replugged my HDD and now my HDD is displayed via the WiiMC Channel and this is with WiiMC 1.0.7. 1.0.7 still seems a little buggy, freezing and the HDD goes missing for a bit but apart from that it is working with my HDD now.

Maybe that’s something to try for now. Use WiiMC Channel Installer 1.2 with WiiMC 1.0.7.

This issue has been resolved – wait for a new WiiMC channel, coming out today. It it highly recommended to not use an older channel, as this loads IOS202.
