Hi guys! I seem to be unable to get ANY Youtube videos to play on WiiMC 1.1.8.
Everything was working fine a couple of weeks ago and I haven’t changed any settings.
Is it just me experiencing this or is it a Problem on youtube’s side?
Thanks for the info!

Thank you! somebody else who experiencing the same problem. this happened to me when my Youtube videos worked just fine for a couple weeks, and then around 4 days ago when i tried to watch a video it says “ERROR LOADING YOUTUBE FILE!”
Is there a fix for this because i have been reading and it seems that other people are experiencing the same problem.
PLEASE HELP, as i love the ability to watch videos on my TV for my whole family.

If this is again the case, until the WIIMC server is fixed, the only workaround is to run similar youtube scripts using an EasyPHP server on your own PC, and at that time I posted a set since the WIIMC authors would not make theirs available. Subsequently these were upgraded and posted as the “YouTube Enhancement Pack” which is now incorporated in WIIMC+.August 6, 2011 at 5:12 pm #29336rodriesKeymasterYouTube just changed its website so the link scraper code needs to be updated. That’s all.
August 6, 2011 at 5:23 pm #29337VoltManEXEParticipantI have the same problem, since wednesday or so i can’t load any youtube video anymore, good that this is issued so there will be a fix soon perhaps?
Greetings,
Hepyro 🙂

August 6, 2011 at 10:40 pm #29339cadbuscaParticipantMy testing shows that there is nothing the matter with the WIIMC.ORG scripts scraper code, since the links returned by my API calls also fail. The problem is in the WIIMC code as can be demonstrated by a direct link fron Onlinemedia.xml to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I-W5ND6wj_A which will work on a PC but fail on WIIMC.
I’ve posted this as a bug in the tracker.

August 7, 2011 at 6:26 am #29340rodriesKeymasterIt’s not a bug. The scraper code is in WiiMC itself, not in the scripts hosted on wiimc.org. YouTube updated its site, so WiiMC needs to be updated accordingly. I can’t tell you when this will happen.
August 10, 2011 at 9:57 pm #29342tsaowangParticipantplease fix it (mean update), i beg you 🙂
August 11, 2011 at 10:05 pm #29343cadbuscaParticipantI have updated WIIMC+ to re-enable YouTube access. The changes have been been posted in the tracker bug report.
