Whenever I try to play a Youtube video in Youtube video library via Vlcshares it plays in low quality. This is only happening in vlcshares all the other youtube videos play in high quality in wiimc. Is it just me?
Thank You for your help.

June 10, 2012 at 1:19 pm #30245bobnabobParticipantIT turns red because it is telling you what the best profile is depending on your device selection,audio..ect,ect.In the top bar.
so whichever one turns red is the current default profile it is going to use every time you use this device. You have more profiles to pick from using the lastest beta. Also is a newer zend lib. avalible v.1.11.11

Your log shows your using the wrong user agent for wiimc.its been a while since i used v5.4 but i think there is a specific agent for wiimc in the pull-down.your log shows your using the webkit and mobile device user agent when you are starting youtube.
Also sopcast directory is wrong.June 12, 2012 at 12:29 am #30247CyriParticipantThank you for replying. :p
I am Wiimc with 0.5.4 Vlcshares, I even went ahead and even tried 0.5.5 beta 2, but received the same results. I don’t use live streaming all that much so I decided not to install sopcast.😀
June 12, 2012 at 1:25 am #30248CyriParticipantemerkamp, I looked at every single option, but I was unable to find the pull-down in which I can select the specific agent. 🙁
June 12, 2012 at 9:12 pm #30249bobnabobParticipantIt shows it in the picture you posted above. On the very top of the page, next to the test button on the right is “Device”.Pull it down until you see one related to wiimc or plx playlist viewer and select it.Then hit your test button this will cause one of the profiles bellow to turn red.The profile that turns red is the one that should be used by the device you have chosen to test. This is all the test does, help to find best.
The v0.5.5b2 is a lot different.I have good resaults with the default settings. You can change the profiles for each device by going to the “Supported Devices” tab at the top of vlc-shares dashboard. You will see a list of supported devices.Scroll down to wiimc and select edit. Then you can force wiimc to use certian profiles in a certian order.
{Note that all profiles won’t work with all devices,I use the trial and error approch}.
You can also do the same test as above. To see your user agent show up at the top, wiimc will have to of been used with vlc-shares within the last 15 minutes. This is only my understanding of how things work.I am not the developer, just trying to help.
Good luck.June 15, 2012 at 12:38 am #30250CyriParticipantSame results. 🙁 I am going to try it on a different computer.
Let us see how that goes. -
