Use cpu for decoding video frames & gpu to strech frame to screen.
In cpu we are using single paired
I think wii gpu can’t be used for decoding video

Probably you have a problem with permissions, so when you share again the folder the permissions are fixed, it’s related to your pc not wiimc

AFAIK VLC does not support RTMP.. you must use RTMPDUMP to receive the stream and pipe it to VLC to display.
    This works: “C:ProgramsRTMPDUMPrtmpdump-2.3rtmpdump.exe” -r rtmp://cp86825.live.edgefcs.net/live/cielo_std@17630 -v -q | “C:ProgramsVLC Streamervlc-1.2.0-git-20100815-0002vlc.exe” –

    ok
    So I guess is a valid rtmp://cp86825.live.edgefcs.net
I’ll try to enable rtmp but I think it will be impossible because of lack of a completed net lib

Give to me 2 or 3 valid rtmp streams that work in vlc, I’ll try to get rtmp working but I think it’s going to be hard to get it working

320 gb in one partition ntfs is good?

yes it’s not a problem for NTFS

To try to find the problem create 2 folders (folder_A & folder_B for example)
move (not copy) all fillms to folder_A
    try wiimc
    is folder_A displayed fine?
if not then begin to move blocks of files from folder A to B & check in wiimc if the folder_A is displayed fine

Also, in Windows Explorer, I can access the EHD connected to the NAS adapter with any computer on the home network.

I’m don’t need nas info when you access via web browser
I need to know the folders name using file browser (windows explorer)

    \NAS_IP in windows explorer

Then you see folders, I need the folders name.
does The other computers need user&password to access to your EHD via NAS?

    Hello,

I have an EHD connected to a NAS adapter (iOmega iConnect). The EHD, as well as a printer that is connected to the NAS adapter, are readily accessible by all computers on the home network. Under the SMB settings, I have entered several options, including:

    – Display Name: iConnect
    – Share IP:
    – Share Name:
    – Username:
    – Password:

Can someone please assist? It would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks.

    ok need some info
can you connect to your nas using windows?
for example if ip assigned to the NAS is 192.168.1.5 then in windows, how are you connectiong to your nas?
    \192.168.1.5films ?
the root is not allowed I mean \192.168.1.5 will not work on wii
in windows if you write \192.168.1.5 do you have to set an user & password ?
if you write \192.168.1.5 what do you see in windows (folders name)?

Are you using an original wiimote?
Have you tried to format sd card?
Have you tried another sd card?

    Thanks Rodries

I am using an original wiimote…have tried several different ones with the same result.

Will format the sd card and try again (will also test a different SD card although mine is a fairly new SanDisk 2GB SD card).

Just to confirm – what is the best format for the SD card? FAT, FAT32, etc???

    Cheers

Fat32 & clusters as big as possible

    Oh, sad to hear that.

It could be wonderful to be able to move the subtitles vertically down, outside of the movie screen area.

    Anyway, thanks JHB50!

Not possible, because we use a texture for drawing, so if you have top/bottom borders is because screen resolution and we are not drawing in that area. We have to change the drawing logic and it’s a lot of work, usually the films use all screen.

I’ve installed ios58 and got the latest version (1.1.8) of wiimc. I am trying to load the application through the channel which i installed with your installer. It just keeps saying loading and then eventually resets itself and goes back to the wii menu. Can anyone help?? Thanks

Where have you installed wiimc? sd or usb?
    Are you using last channel?
If you are using sd try to format the sd (backup data first) and download 1.1.8 again and do a clean install.

I look up the source code for “Invalid DVD” string. It appears in fileop.cpp in function MountDVD. I read the function and I can’t understand why you mount a DVD that is already mounted! so, when it reach to

    … else if(!ISO9660_Mount(“dvd”, dvd)) …

obviously it fails and the messages “Invalid DVD” is displayed.

Perhaps the dvdLastUsed variable is not right assigned or the MountDVD function is called twice. I don’t know 😕

Tantric has done some changes based on your report
    Can you test this beta?
    http://www.mediafire.com/?k77ic93s7v2dz1n

You will have to pause until motor stop (60secs) then unpause, seems to be fixed in my tests.
