    While it is your project and I fully respect your opinion on this matter, I’d have to disagree with you shrugging it off as unnecessary. Gamecube controller support would be really convenient for cases when you don’t, for example, have batteries in your Wiimote or all you have around in an old gamecube controller.

    Judging by the views this topic received, it’s at least worth considering, and definitely much more useful than, say, RSS feeds or a scrobling function. I especially like the way it’s implemented in Mplayer CE; and before you say “well, go use Mplayer CE,” I wouldn’t have created an account to suggest implementing this feature if I didn’t think the project looked a lot cooler.
