Also FTP. You might find a FTP Server app for android.I know windows mobile had them,But not sure with Android.
bobnabobParticipantThis has already been adressed and can not be done. This is because you would have to have 2 players running at the same time. One for playing the current song and the 2nd would have to start before the first one finished.
The playlist function is pretty close.bobnabobParticipantHave you tried a usb flash stick to see if the problem is your drive or wii/wiimc related. You may have an incompatable drve. You may want to post your model and type.Someone eles might be using it and be able to help.
bobnabobParticipantHi, You say it worked fine for a while,So this means something has changed and this is where i would start.if you have recently upgraded your version of wiimc then i would try falling back to the version you know worked. If this solves your problem then you may have found a bug.likewise if you are not at the current version of 1.3.0 then upgrade to it.
You can test to see if your wifi is working inside of wiimc by going to the “world icon” and trying one of the online links like navi x or shoutcast.if these work then you can rule out a wii connection problem to your network.
Whenever i have a networking problem I always start with simple settings and work my way up.Try setting up your NAS server with “Full access”,”No username”,No Password”,and a short “Share Name”.This way is Easier to track down errors and typo’s.Also need to find out what your NAS is using for “sharename” is it the screen name or the map name.try eitherbobnabobParticipantYes,Not having an internet connection is your problem. If you don’t have an internet connection it shuts down your Wifi. What you need to do to bypass this is reset everything, then find a buddy with internet and take your router and Wii to his house and set up a new connection.Keep these settings and bring it back to your house and as long as you don’t mess with anything on the wii or the router {Don’t rescan for wirless with wii, this will shut wifi back down if no internet was found} you can use Wifi until you get internet back.
bobnabobParticipantIf you say VLC player supports this file type,Then I would think vlc-shares would be your answer. This is really not that hard to setup and extends wiimc.
bobnabobParticipantIf you are recieving an error then you either,1.do not have a patched ios236 or 2. Did not select it to use for installing the wad at the begining.
Either run a system check on your ios’s to see witch one is patched with trucha bug or use the 2nd option jhb50 stated above.Using Wiimod in ABPROT mode.bobnabobParticipantIt shows it in the picture you posted above. On the very top of the page, next to the test button on the right is “Device”.Pull it down until you see one related to wiimc or plx playlist viewer and select it.Then hit your test button this will cause one of the profiles bellow to turn red.The profile that turns red is the one that should be used by the device you have chosen to test. This is all the test does, help to find best.
The v0.5.5b2 is a lot different.I have good resaults with the default settings. You can change the profiles for each device by going to the “Supported Devices” tab at the top of vlc-shares dashboard. You will see a list of supported devices.Scroll down to wiimc and select edit. Then you can force wiimc to use certian profiles in a certian order.
{Note that all profiles won’t work with all devices,I use the trial and error approch}.
You can also do the same test as above. To see your user agent show up at the top, wiimc will have to of been used with vlc-shares within the last 15 minutes. This is only my understanding of how things work.I am not the developer, just trying to help.
Good luck.bobnabobParticipantWhat are you watching your youtube videos with,”Wiimc” or something different like a “Mobile phone”.
Your log shows your using the wrong user agent for wiimc.its been a while since i used v5.4 but i think there is a specific agent for wiimc in the pull-down.your log shows your using the webkit and mobile device user agent when you are starting youtube.
Also sopcast directory is wrong.bobnabobParticipantIT turns red because it is telling you what the best profile is depending on your device selection,audio..ect,ect.In the top bar.
so whichever one turns red is the current default profile it is going to use every time you use this device. You have more profiles to pick from using the lastest beta. Also is a newer zend lib. avalible v.1.11.11
bobnabobParticipantI’ve never tried one of these. But we really need more info on your network enviroment. If its a UPNP device i don’t think wiimc will connect.
It looks like it has smb capability so it should connect if your syntax is right. What do your smb settings look like in wiimc…Share_Name,IP_Adress,ect
You could try to plug it into your PC and try to share it,then connect wiimc with smb function.bobnabobParticipantYou’re just scratching the surface on what wiimc is capable of.For further options see the 2nd post by @jhb50,above and follow his links. Also check out “vlc-shares” from the fourms index board.
bobnabobParticipantGuilty as charged,You caught me…OK,looks like it got included in +v13 release.I Don’t want special characters messing up my search,so i’ll do a quick switch. Thanx 4 another great script!!!
bobnabobParticipantI believe we are at v1.2.7 now. Personaly i think v1.2.4 and up,seem to be my choice. I never really had a major problems with any of them, but the eairlier versions might not work with the newer wiimote.
bobnabobParticipantThe most current Homebrew Channel is v1.10 and IOS:58 should be version v24.32 or close.
Also you have nand acess to every IOS possible.I don’t think i would do this.Unless you are emulating it. -
