That is the only way to keep WIIMC+ separate from WIIMC, since I’m not prepared to support WIIMC+ as a replacement of WIIMC, but only as a side-by-side application. You could recompile with a modified wiimc.h but then you cannot run WIIMC to determine the source of any problems in the base.
cadbuscaParticipantNo problem here and I don’t see any change in the code that would account for such a problem. Does it happen on all smb’s? what about sd and usb directory listings?
cadbuscaParticipantAlways helps to read the documentation http://www.wiimc.org/documentation/button-mappings/
cadbuscaParticipantThat’s a good question and maybe one that Tantric can explain. Do you know what version/level of MPlayer your CE is at? WIIMC is at the latest levels so perhaps there has been some regression. I too would expect them to play the same file succesfully. I’ve tried to play your file with some older versions and they either hangup or have the same problem.
cadbuscaParticipantMy WIIMC+ patch for YT is in SVN1037 so you will have to wait for WIIMC 1.2.5.
cadbuscaParticipantAny video wider than 640 pixels may be beyond the ability of the WII to decode it. This file is an example of that. The audio plays in real time but the video lags, causing the audio to be out of sync.
cadbuscaParticipantActually the better solution is to rename them with a prepended $ so they do not display. This allows a restore or later physical delete on the PC and was the way I chose to implement it in my patch.
cadbuscaParticipantI’ve now released Movies+, an add-on for WIIMC+, that extends gorgel’s work and adds significant new function including a text description of each movie, the ability to find more YT trailers, and the download of subtitles as well as movies. I’ll post some screens in the WIIMC+ section when I get time. All current WIIMC+ users will receive this automatically.
cadbuscaParticipantWhy are you showing a VLC-Shares problem on a WIIMC forum? You need to move your post to the VLC-Shares forum and give more details so someone can help you.
March 19, 2012 at 3:46 pm in reply to: WIIMC+ Enhancement Pack Version 10C for WIIMC 1.2.0 @ SVN995 #29578cadbuscaParticipantI can’t believe its been 2 months since I wrote that teaser, but the good news is that V11 for WIIMC 1.2.4 @ SVN 1034 is in the process of being packaged so assuming no more changes to the base it will be out soon. The good news is that it will also include YouTube+ which will display thumbnails and support higher video qualities up to 854×480.
cadbuscaParticipantIf you are not running other network traffic at the same time (like p2p downloads) then the problem is likely your wireless which is unable to handle the traffic that a wired network can. Use the Task Manager to observe your network traffic.
cadbuscaParticipantThe device is not hardcoded..it just looks at the SD first so don’t have the SD when you want to use the USB.
cadbuscaParticipantActually it is a simple mod to the MPLAYER Code to return the Video Specs..codec..bitrate…size and optionally display it before playing the file.
cadbuscaParticipantYou could follow my signature or get the WIIMC source code and mod it yourself.
cadbuscaParticipantyes yt now supports 3d..that created a bug..switch to medium quality and your music quality wiil be the same.
