Others have had no problem. I can only guess that you did not follow the instructions to create the sd1:/ apps/wiimc-plus folder with all the required files, or perhaps you did not use SVN971. I’ve not tested the patch with later SVN’s. I’ve also never seen the app go back to HBC. I think that would imply the dol was never loaded, again indicating that the app folder was never setup correctly.
cadbuscaParticipantI guess its because my focus is on helping the user rather than limiting them to the standard release or info they can find themselves.
So long as the forum search engine cannot be used to find previous posts that give users the info they request, like my former “playlist guide” post, then I can only point them to the only available source which is the WIIMC+ distribution, and so long as WIIMC+ offers the increased function that a user is seeking, like the ability to use absolute playlists as well, I see no reason to withhold that information from them.
I continue to be confounded by your perception that WIIMC+ is in competition with WIIMC. It is only a set of extensions to WIIMC and totally dependent upon WIIMC, and they are all available to you or anyone else for implementation. Why you would take offense at users being given additional function and information that meets the needs you have chosen not to provide beats me.
If you feel that this is contrary to your forum rules, then I will be happy to limit my responses to PM’s rather than posting them in the forum.
cadbuscaParticipantYou might want to look at WIIMC+ which includes the “Guide to Playlist Files” that I posted earlier.
cadbuscaParticipantSee Development Tab above.
cadbuscaParticipantI have updated WIIMC+ to re-enable YouTube access. The changes have been been posted in the tracker bug report.

The update has been sent to all WIIMC+ users.

cadbuscaParticipantMy testing shows that there is nothing the matter with the WIIMC.ORG scripts scraper code, since the links returned by my API calls also fail. The problem is in the WIIMC code as can be demonstrated by a direct link fron Onlinemedia.xml to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I-W5ND6wj_A which will work on a PC but fail on WIIMC.
I’ve posted this as a bug in the tracker.
cadbuscaParticipantThis has happened in the past when the wiimc.org server was banned from running the scripts that access YouTube.
If this is again the case, until the WIIMC server is fixed, the only workaround is to run similar youtube scripts using an EasyPHP server on your own PC, and at that time I posted a set since the WIIMC authors would not make theirs available. Subsequently these were upgraded and posted as the “YouTube Enhancement Pack” which is now incorporated in WIIMC+.cadbuscaParticipantsize has nothing to do with quality.
cadbuscaParticipantUse + and – for volume. You cannot move the bar.
cadbuscaParticipantMove the cursor off the screen and the bar will disappear in a few seconds.
cadbuscaParticipantYup, SD resolution is all the WII can handle. For HD vids use VLC-Shares which will transpose and send an SD stream to the WII.
cadbuscaParticipantPerhaps you have the option turned off.
cadbuscaParticipantSounds like you did a new install instead of an update and your restore_points file was lost. That’s where the previous green tick info is stored. I modified my WIIMC+ to always keep the previous restore_points file as .bak so I could restore the file if it was lost.
