He was referring to size and color. Subs are preset at the bottom of the screen.
cadbuscaParticipantIt sounds like you were comparing apples to oranges.
The time to populate a directory listing is dependent on the number of files in the directory and on the size of the restore_points file. Both WIIMC and WIIMC+ will compare each file name in the directory to those in the restore_points file. So given the same directory and the same 50 entry restore_point file(the WIIMC max) the load time should be the same.
WIIMC+ however gives you options to use more than 50 entries if you wish (in blocks of 50) to a maximum of 500. This allows you to limit the performance impact as documented. It also allows you to compare on just the filename rather than the full path so that files may be moved without impacting the restore_points data, but both of these features will increase the load time if you use them, so make sure they are turned off.
cadbuscaParticipantAdam, you should experience the same simplicity amd speed of WIIMC with the WIIMC+ Enhancement Pack, if you do not enable the enhanced options, or use those features that are there by default. Simply leave all the enhanced settings off and use the Universal Volume, and I’d suggest the Remote Music Mode that are on by default.
cadbuscaParticipantSo what did you put in your SMB setup?
IP address?
Films?
You don’t need a password, but you may need to set security for the PC share to everyone.cadbuscaParticipantYou have not provided enough information for anyone to help you. What’s the website and what are the stream url’s?
cadbuscaParticipantWell you should get a slightly faster response when using your own server since you did not have to access the internet and contend with all the other traffic. It is unlikely though that others will experience any benefit from using your servers for acccessing the normal WIIMC scripts since their server is provided by the ISP and most likely has a capacity far in excess of your normal user server.
Also I believe only one of the scripts in my alternate pack that was provided by another user requires ZEND. All the others are normal php scripts and only require a php install.
In developing those alternate scripts, I realized that it is possible to extend the YouTube scripts so that you can actually browse thru the youtube library by following the uploads, playlists and channels of various users. Those extensions will be released shortlyonce testing is completeand while they could be used under WIIMC, they really need additional enhancements provided in WIIMC+ to function smoothly. If you implement those scripts on your server for others to use that would make YouTube Browsing available to everyone.
cadbuscaParticipantI use the video icon, open the ts folder and then play each vob as a file.
cadbuscaParticipantThat is only available with the WIIMC+ Enhancement Pack. Previous requests for a standard version feature have been rejected.
cadbuscaParticipantI don’t know if this applies to your problem, but I was watching the Tennis Channel live stream last night, and the announcers lips were way out of sync with the video. Using the dynamic Audio Delay feature of WIIMC+, I was able to adjust the delay in real time and watch as the lips came into sync at +0.5 seconds.
The only thing I’ve been unable to fix is playing AVC files directly on the WII with width > 720, where the video plays successively slower than the normal speed audio so the delay is constantly increasing. No fix for this because the WII just does not have the power to decode the AVC at normal speed. This should not apply to transcoded video so long as you have not changed the profile to generate an AVC stream in place of the standard MPEG stream.
cadbuscaParticipantThe pagination occurs with Navi-X, VLC-Shares and my about to be released You-Tube Explorer Feature of WIIMC+.
I think its obvious that if you are looking for something and don’t know where it is that you have no choice but to look at each page until you find it. It is possible however to avoid the need to back out one page at a time as WIIMC requires and jump directly back to page 1 and the next version of WIIMC+ implements that capability by clicking the B-Button rather than clicking the up-one-level line. It also alredy has the “save-links” feature so once you find a link on “page 20” you can save that link and access it directly from your “Saved Links” folder in Online media, avoiding the need o page down 20 pages again. Hope that helps.cadbuscaParticipantGlad you have it now!
cadbuscaParticipantRead step 2 again and follow the instructions. You don’t need Sony Playstation code for the Nintendo WII.
cadbuscaParticipantCool! Thank you. I’ll include it with Version 9 out soon!
Just a tickler.. V9 will include the ability to “Explore” YouTube from within WIIMC+ by allowing you to search for playlists and channels as well as videos, and be able to access the uploads, playlists or favorites of the authors of any playlist, channel or video… but you must have a PHP server available to run the prerequiite scripts, but you will have one if you have installed VLC-Shares.
cadbuscaParticipantThese problems are all fixed by WIIMC+ Enhancement Pack which tightly integrates VLC-Shares with WIIMC.
Amongst other things, it will shut down VLC on WIIMC+ startup if it was left running when WIIMC last terminated. It will reset the onlinemedia file to the main menu if it contains a vlc-shares url. It will return to the VLC-Main menu when clicking up-one-level after vlc has been spawned, and it will logically back out thru previous menus if VLC has not been spawned. This is in contrast to WIIMC jumping around to all kinds of previous VLC menus when backing out with the up-one-level B-Button. Additionally the WIIMC+ On-Icon feature will always start onlinemedia mode at a preset directory/url and immediately jump back there when the OLM icon is clicked, and the Browser Bar will always report where you are in the VLC menu structure. This is all possible due to extra tags that Ximarx has provided with his playlists that WIIMC+ interprets to provide this integration. I can’t conceive of running VLC-Shares without it.cadbuscaParticipant“D:My Program DownloadsBase Install StreamingRTMPDumprtmpdump-WIN32-2.3.exe” -v -r rtmp://cp86825.live.edgefcs.net/live/cielo_std@17630 -q | “C:ProgramsVLC Streamervlc-1.2.0-git-20100815-0002vlc.exe” –
