So you don’t mind if the autoplay next files start at their resume points? I think thats what WIIMC does. Can you verify that?
cadbuscaParticipantIt could be a number of things but I suspect you have AutoPlayNextVideo set to Shuffle or Through. If so then WIIMC+ will ignore the Resume settings, since it assumes you want to play a series of videos regardless of any previous playbacks. You also need to exit a video with “home” in order to have its restore point saved. If you just shut off the wii then the last played point will not be saved.
cadbuscaParticipantJust tested it and it plays fine with sound. Pauses, restarts, etc ok.
cadbuscaParticipantGot it.

cadbuscaParticipantYes upload the file causing the crash. I use http://www.filedropper.com/ which is simple with no registration, and post the link.
cadbuscaParticipantPlaying the vobs from my PC DVD drive already works fine, and I can pause, restart, zoom, and stretch any 4:3 DVD to full screen 16:9 using my mods. It should work fine with 1.3.0, which is my base, as well.
cadbuscaParticipantI have never seen a .mkv file streamed, in fact I don’t think it is possible. I suggest you post the online media entries that are not working so others can test them and assist you.
cadbuscaParticipantJust too much for a mod. Suggest it for wiimc.
cadbuscaParticipantIf the onlinemedia.xml file were missing or if the entry
<link name="YouTube – Search" type="search" addr="http://www.wiimc.org/media/youtube.php?q=
was missing the search option would not even display, so that’s not the problem.
cadbuscaParticipantI think it is the WIIMC.ORG server not working because my Enhanced YouTube search works fine so it is not caused by a YouTube site change.. I’ve also found the response time using this forum hosted at wiimc.org to be bad so perhaps its tied together.
cadbuscaParticipantSee my sig.

From others posts it seems this is a rare occurance.
Anyway thanks for confirming that your problem and solution had nothing to do with SMB or USB, and for your future reference HDD is the correct form for “Hard disk drive”.
July 23, 2012 at 1:04 am in reply to: ULTIMATE solution to Video Crashes (not SMB, just USB HD) #30350cadbuscaParticipantSo you had a lousy install. What’s that got to do with “not SMB, just USB HD”? And BTW, WIIMC and the WII only support SD video not HD as your note implies.
cadbuscaParticipantI felt the same way and modded mine to retain the order in the xml. Makes it easy to set up and find custom folders within it.
cadbuscaParticipantBuy a $50 DVD player. WIIMC and the WII are not intended to support DVD playback well. This has been discussed many times.
