cd ; make ; make install][/quote]I’m a noob at compiling and would like some help on the way I add these libraries . Just the correct way to install these (syntax) I know I’m missing these and cannot go any further and i know jhb50 said he wasn’t going to discuss these further , but if there was a description for noobs (today was the first day I attempted compiling) it would benefit more than myself , I’m sure .
dreamcox53ParticipantI have tried to get this to compile . had the strings.h issue got that worked out but ended up with another fatal error and the compile stopped . Is it possible to get a compiled version from someone or could someone create a torrent ?
dreamcox53ParticipantTHANK YOU >>>>I will work on mounting permanently now !
dreamcox53ParticipantI have a NetGear Stora working fine with WiiMC . Funny…I started using WiiMC because of the lack of support for NAS devices from PlayOn TV . My Wii was already softmodded so I jumped onto WiiMC and VLC Shares to play my stored videos on the Wii .
dreamcox53ParticipantGot it installed….Google is your friend 🙂 . Placing it in my vlc shares directory did the trick for some reason . (placing the .exe within it’s own folder named ffmpeg)
Again…is there a benefit to running ffmpeg ?
dreamcox53ParticipantGot it working…thanks for your ttime . I had to go into WiiMC and set “online media” path to VLC Shares folder then navigate to the folder of the file I wanted to play .
dreamcox53ParticipantI’ve done the installation step by step as well as editing the .xml file on the SD card for Wiimc (inputting the IP address of the VLC share install) . I run the test to verify paths for VLC Shares and the test shows they are working (except the 2 optional) but in the debug log I see a “No VLC Instance” :
20/02/2011 20:43:45] [III] (X_Debug::init:35)
[20/02/2011 20:43:45] [III] (X_Debug::init:36) Debug log enabled, level: 1
[20/02/2011 20:43:45] [FFF] (X_VlcShares_Plugins_RedirectControls::gen_beforePageBuild:43) No vlc instanceShould I also see some change within WiiMC to ensure it utilizes VLC for streaming ?
dreamcox53ParticipantI have installed and I think I have it set up correctly but how do I know it is actually working properly ? Is the icon supposed to go green on the EasyPHP icon in the tray ? I think I also set-up the NAS share properly (path etc.)
