Did anyone manage to compile WiiMC with a new language?
fishearsParticipantNoob here with Xp on my PC. Would u do the same steps to setup with XP?
To share a folder, follow this tutorial http://www.practicallynetworked.com/sharing/xp/filesharing.htm
The rest is the same. :geek:fishearsParticipantPress the home button to exit.

Fixed? That would imply something was broken! In this case, I purposefully chose to ignore ISO files. As I just know people will try to load them via SMB, find it slow, and complain. 🙄
Still not sure it’s a good idea to allow them!
Could you at least make a hidden way to enable them, via config for example? So not anybody can enable them via the menu.
fishearsParticipantGuys I can’t post my translation, it gives me an error when I use the code syntax.
General Error
SQL ERROR [ mysql4 ]Incorrect string value: ‘xC5xA3iona…’ for column ‘post_text’ at row 1 [1366]
An SQL error occurred while fetching this page. Please contact the Board Administrator if this problem persists.
I posted my translation on a copy paste service. I dind’t use the Romanian characters, because I wasn’t sure, if the coding supports it. If you want me to include the special characters, just tell me.

NTFS should work too. I’d just have to add the ISO extension to the allowed types for the next release.
That’s weird. I ripped a DVD to my hard disk and WiiMC played the VOB files just fine without lag. Why shouldn’t the isos work?
fishearsParticipantJust overwrite the boot.dol with the old 1.0 version.
fishearsParticipantTry this:
Control Panel – Administrative Tools – Local Security Policy
Local Policies – Security Options
Network security: LAN Manager authentication level
Send LM & NTLM responsesMinimum session security for NTLM SSP
Disable Require 128-bit encryptionfishearsParticipantOh yeah I forgot about that. You have to enable network discovery. That should be it.

I got this problem just one single time and had to shut down my Wii.
this is a rare problem!!!
I’m trying to re create your problem, but WiiMC won’t FreezeYes I know, I tried to re-create it, too. But it happened only once. I don’t know why, but anyway WiiNC should automatically time out if it can’t connect so that it won’t freeze.

Please use V1.0.1
Check if the SMB share is accessible via another PC.
Check if Wii Settings are correct.I am using 1.01, and SMB works finde 99% of the time. I got this problem just one single time and had to shut down my Wii.
fishearsParticipantIt should support iso files. In Mplayer CE you had to add the iso-extension in the extensions config file.
fishearsParticipantI had this problem, too. Is there a “Stop” button? Because you only return to the menu if you pres “Home”. If you start another movie, sometimes WiiMC crashes.
fishearsParticipantPress the start-button (round windows button) and type in the search field “cmd” without the “”.
type “ipconfig /all” and press enter.
IPv4 Adresse is what you need to type in WiiMC.
Your username is not needed. If you have a password you have to type in username and password.
Now if you want to share a folder, right click the folder and go to properties, press the “sharing” tab and press the share button. Type in “Everyone” and press add. Change the rights to “read/write” and press “share”.
Close the windows, the folder is now shared, the shared name is the same as the folders name. So if your folders name is “Movies” you will write “Movies” in WiiMC.I hope I could help you. I have Win7 in Romanian languange, so maybe the description is not 100% accurate :ugeek:
