I played a PAL DVD last night with the 1.1.2 on my 4.3E Wii with my TV.
The DVD played nearly fine but something was very strange :
I have a 100Hz Samsung TV with Motion Plus (Samsung’s Motion Interpolation video processing technology). And I don’t see the Motion Interpolation “effect” correctly. It works just a few seconds here and there. The rest of the time, the video seems like without Motion Plus activated.
So I thought the problem with PAL DVD was that WiiMC would be launched in 60hz video mode (PAL60 or NTSC60) instead of 50hz (PAL50) which would be necessary for european TV to work correctly.
That may be the cause of the problem for other persons here too.
I know that some wii homebrew programs let’s us choose the video mode (like Bootmii) between PAL50, PAL60 or NTSC. Maybe adding something like that in WiiMC would correct the issue for everyone.
