I’m also having difficulties using SMB on a Netgear “Stora” NAS.
IP, login info and share name are fine, it actually looks like it connects but there are no files or folders listed. If I use the wrong login info it displays cannot connect so I’m sure that the NAS connects. I’m chasing down what port the NAS uses for SMB but since I can technically connect I assume the port is not my issue here.
The stora also acts as an FTP server, this also cannot connect at all (fails connection) however using the Wii explorer I can connect and browse to my NAS via ftp. Issue is that wii explorer has the same issue with SMB as WiiMC, connect but nothing is displayed???
I’ve many other devices that I use to connect to my NAS via SMB without issue but i’d really love to use my Wii for a media player.
Any advice would be much appreciated.
